Virtual Aquatic Events and Programs

Water Safety Class on Zoom

Swim lesson students and their families are invited to join Mark Dolph, JCC Aquatics Director on a weekly Zoom invitational water safety discussion. Each week will feature a new topic with regard to water safety at the pool, at the lake, at the beach, and on the river. There will be chances to WIN swim lesson credits by competing in contests and follow up questions at the end of each session.

Basic First Aid Discussion and Demonstration

Join Mark Dolph, JCC Aquatics Director, weekly on Facebook Live as he discusses and demonstrates First Aid based on the American Red Cross standards. Weekly Topics will include: sun exposure, eye injury, muscle cramps, heat and cold related emergencies, sprains, broken bones, shock, poisoning, abrasions, lacerations, and bandaging.

All are welcome, as these skills may help save a life.

Swim Stroke Instruction

Brush up on your swim strokes! Discussion and on land demonstrations by Mark Dolph, JCC Aquatics Director, on how to improve your stroke and kick technique, stroke efficiency, and breathing techniques. Weekly topics include: breath control, rotary breathing, wasted motions, body alinement, and symmetry.

Strokes Include: crawl, backstroke, breaststroke, sidestroke, and elementary backstroke.

All are welcome, especially those addicted to lap swimming.
