October 2018. Eleven people were killed and six wounded at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh. It was the deadliest antisemitic attack in U.S. history. But then the community came together to confront hate and promote unity and healing. How did they do it? What can we learn? WVIA invites you to experience stories of hope, inspiration, and activism at a free screening and discussion of the film Repairing the World: Stories from the Tree of Life.
Special guest: Alan Mallinger, son of Rose Mallinger, one of the victims of the Tree of Life attack will join the discussion, and describe the community’s healing and recovery efforts.
