Adult Services

The Scranton JCC has several clubs & activities for adults that will challenge your body and mind.  We are ready to serve as a catalyst in developing special interest clubs for adult members.  If you have an interest that you would like to participate with others…let us know!   Check out the following programs that we currently offer:

Duplicate Bridge

Lets play cards!  Open to experienced players (not for beginners).  This group meets every Tuesday from 12:00pm to 3:30pm in the JCC auditorium.  Newcomers are always welcome; reservations are not needed.  Refreshments are available.  This group is not restricted to members.  Fees:  $5.00

Activage

Introduced in December of 2009, Activage is a program, created by a committee of active adults, that gives JCC members the opportunity to engage in social events & dinners, educational seminars, trips and more.  Since its inception, this robust group has been on the go.  Past events include a night of elegant dining at the Radisson at Lackawanna Station, a trip to see “Kinky Boots” on Broadway in NYC, a visit to the National Museum of Jewish Heritage in Philadelphia and a Jazz night at the JCC featuring the Joe Cole Quartet.  The group is exploring many new ideas for the upcoming year.  Activage is open to all adult JCC members.  The only requirement – a desire to explore new friendships and share great times.

For more information about any of our adult programs please contact Louise McNabb, Director of Adult Services & Community Outreach, at ext. 135 or louise@scrantonjcc.org.
