Josh's Frogs Catappa Bark (5 Pieces)

Being packed with antioxidants, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory agents and beneficial tannins, Catappa Bark has great healing properties that can treat wounds such as cuts or abrasions. The antibacterial agents prevent infection and reduce inflammation to accelerate the healing of wounds. They can also be used for aquascaping your tank or creating a more natural look by releasing natural tannins. These pieces of bark also tend to decompose a bit slower than leaves or other common ways to introduce tannins. Especially popular for shrimp, these are great for many freshwater fish aquariums and tadpoles as well! Blackwater is softer and has a lower pH, which can be great for certain fish species and to induce breeding.

Directions: Simply place some in your tank - it'll sink with time. The bark can also be boiled in water to create a tannin-rich extract that can be cooled and stored for later use.
