Youth Programs

UTA Karate

Join Masters Bob and Lorrie as they teach basics to advanced levels of Tang Soo Do, a modern approach to traditional martial arts with an evolving curriculum comprised of Judo and other fighting disciplines designed to provide a fun learning environment.

    LIL Dragons (ages 4-7)
    Wednesdays:  5:30 pm-6:15 pm
    Children’s Classses (ages 7-15)
    Monday & Wednesdays:  6:15pm-7:15pm
    Adult Classes (ages 16 and older)
    Mondays & Wednesdays:  7:15pm-8:15pm

  • Fees: $60/four week session
    Member Discount Fees:  $50/ four week session   

Children’s Wellness Classes

Wellness Classes are available for children 3-5 years.

Semester 1: September- Mid-January | Semester 2: Mid-January-Early June
Daily 12:00-1:00 (exception 1:30 on Thursday)
In each class, children will enjoy a packed lunch from home followed by the special activity of the day.

Mix-It Monday – This is a hands-on cooking class that will introduce children to the pleasures of preparing and enjoying food that is both nutritious and delicious. Children will learn basic cooking skills, like pouring, mixing, measuring, and following a recipe.

Swimming Tuesday – Children will engage in a fun swim class, led by our Early Learning Staff. Staff will begin to introduce children to the water, and teach them basic water skills.

Arts & Crafts Wednesday – JCC Staff will offer hands-on instruction to the children in different forms of art. Her classes are fun, and designed to teach basic art skills while building self-esteem, courage, and creativity!

Basketball Thursday (until 1:30pm) – Coach Herman Little will lead the class in a fun and exciting basketball class! They will learn the importance of sportsmanship, and teamwork while learning basic basketball skills.

Kiddy Kinetics Friday – Children will enjoy time in our little gym, promoting growth of large motor skills.

Kids Yoga

Namaste!  Yoga is about exploring and learning in a fun, safe and playful way. Yoga and kids are a perfect match.  Here’s what your child can learn from yoga:

  • Yoga improves our posture and helps our bodies become strong and flexible .
  • Yoga improves our breathing bringing peacefulness and energy to our bodies.
  • Yoga teaches us how to relax and use our energy more effectively.
  • Yoga teaches us how to listen and quiet the mind.
  • Yoga teaches us about balance.
  • Yoga teaches us about being healthy and taking care of ourselves.

Junior NBA Youth Basketball League

This program is designed to teach the basics, as well as, help players hone skills such as dribbling, passing, shooting, rebounding, defending, and teamwork.

Dance Expressions

Learn cool dance moves with Chavy! The classes culminate with a dance recital in May.

Science Sunday

Calling all mad scientists! This popular program encourages children participate in hands-on science experiments, like creating goo, flying a rocket, building a robot and more.

Healthy Cooking Club

Hungry but not sure what to eat or how to make it? Learn to prepare healthy, homemade snacks.

  • FEES: $5/per child per class

Youth Lounge

Come play table games like pool, air hockey, ping pong, foosball.  You can also play on the Wii, create arts and crafts projects and more.

    Sundays: 10:00 am – 5:oo pm

    There is no fee to attend, but you must be a JCC member.

Girl Scouts – Juniors

For Girls in 4th and 5th grades.  Meetings are held twice a month on Tuesdays.

As a  Girl Scout, you’re going to have tons of fun, make new friends, and go on fantastic new adventures.
Our program centers on what we call the Girl Scout Leadership Experience—a collection of activities and experiences you’ll have as you earn badges, sell cookies, go on exciting trips, explore the outdoors, do Take Action projects that make a difference, and more.
