As many of you know, Theresa Borgia, a long time member of the JCC and participant in our cancer wellness program lost her battle with cancer in 2010. This past Sunday, the JCC held its second annual Theresa Borgia Memorial 5K Run/Walk at Nay Aug Park. Approximately 130 runners and walkers participated in the event which raised almost $4000 for our cancer wellness program. I walked the course with my two children, and it was a fun and rewarding day that included kids races, an awards ceremony, basket raffle, water ices and more. Special thanks to all of the staff and volunteers who made this event successful, especially Cara Sherman, our Wellness Director and Jo Akers, Fitness Instructor. Enjoy the pictures from the day !
